In the second interview jointly organized by AM1320 and Connections Community Service, Master Gao explained the relationship between martial arts and Chinese culture including Chinese medicine.
He pointed out that our metabolism slows down with aging, and may result in osteoporosis and muscle loss. Through proper training, our bone density and muscles can be improved, thus preventing falling and benefitting the treatment of diabetes and high blood pressure.
Martial arts training can strengthen our joints through specific techniques. He explained the importance of maintaining an upright body in transforming and improving our physique.
Master Gao also discussed the difference between Chinese and Western martial arts. The former controls the flow of body energy and power through our mindset.
