YIJIN JING
Yijin Jing originated from Taoist schools dedicated to preserving health and was transformed by the monks of Shaolin to become a means of practising internal energy used in martial arts. Master Gao teaches Yijin Jing through twelve routines of body movements and patting techniques (called Paida).
By practising the twelve routines of body movements, blood circulation will improve, internal energy flow will strengthen, and tendons will become flexible. All these will benefit the meridian system, which in turn helps to prevent sickness.
Paida is traditionally done by patting one’s body with professionally made bamboo sticks. Based on the patterns of energy circulation and the principles of meridian point stimulation, it improves the functions of the internal organs, enhances the circulation system, and as a result contributes to the wellness of the mind and the body.
